Frisco Pool Maintenance Service FAQ

How do I clean the water in a small pool? I have an inflatable 8 foot pool for my kids. I use chlorine tabs at night to keep tbe water sanitized but it looks dirty. Is there a way to get small debris and dirt out without dumping the water?

You can use a wet/dry vac with an accessory pump to pump the water right back out into the pool from the reservoir. Make sure you use a correct ‘wet’ filter.

You have to keep stopping to pump out the collected water, and perhaps rinsing out the filter multiple times depending on the amount of gunk in there, but it gets the job done.

Be AWARE! A wet vac is very powerful! Be extremely careful how you position the wand end or you're going to suck in your pool liner, and even if you stop immediately it's likely there'll be damage if not outright tears in it.

Using a brush attachment will both allow you to loosen up the gunk on the bottom, to more easily be sucked up, and stop the wand end from coming in direct contact with the liner. But people push too hard on the brush heads all the time, which brings the liner too close, and we're back to damaging/tearing again. Careful and slow wins.

What is the best way to clean up a pool filter?

  1. Turn off the pool pump and the filter system.
  2. Remove air from the system. Turn the air relief valve (usually located on top of the filter) slowly to remove any excess air from the system.
  3. Remove the clamps (or other latching mechanisms) holding the filter together. If you’re unsure how to open it, check the owner’s manual.
  4. Remove the top of the filter.
  5. Slowly and carefully remove the cartridge and set it aside. Inspect it for damage and wear. If you find any cracks or tears, or it’s past the point where cleaning will be effective, it’s time to replace the cartridge.
  6. Clean the cartridge: Use a spray nozzle on your garden hose to spray down the cartridge, making sure to get between the pleats. If the cartridge is really dirty, use a filter cleaner. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. If the cartridge is really dirty, soak the cartridge in filter cleaner overnight. Use a 5-gallon bucket, and make sure the cartridge is completely covered with the water and cleaner mixture.
  7. Check the O-ring on the filter tank. If it’s in good shape, lightly apply some lubricant to keep it that way. If it’s dry-rotted or appears worn out, replace it.
  8. Rinse the cartridge thoroughly.
  9. Return the cartridge to the filter, and secure it in place.
  10. Replace the filter top and close the clamps.
  11. Turn the system back on, and open the air relief valve to release any excess air in the system. Keep the valve open until a steady stream of water sprays from it.
  12. Check the system pressure to be sure it’s in the normal range. If the pounds per square inch (PSI) is off, you may have put the filter back together incorrectly, or something else may be wrong with the system. Troubleshoot the pool filter to identify and correct the problem.

The North America swimming pool treatment chemicals for residential application market was valued at US$ 3,938. 74 million in 2019 and is projected to reach US$ 4,896. 87 million by 2027; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2.

New York, April 23, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- announces the release of the report "North America Swimming Pool Treatment Chemicals for Residential Application Market Forecast to 2027 - COVID-19 Impact and Regional Analysis By Product Type" -
7% from 2020 to 2027. The rapid growth of the market in this region is attributed to the ever-increasing disposable income of the middle-income group population along with the rising residential construction sector. Additionally, the presence of major market players in the region is also contributing to the market growth. However, the increasing use of natural filtration systems in pools is likely to restrain the market growth.

Swimming pool treatment chemicals are used in water treatment processes to eliminate microorganisms of all life stages and sizes. They also keep the water clean and balance the pH level of the water.

Some chemicals are used to balance pH levels and offer shock treatment.Swimming pool treatment chemicals are typically manufactured in liquid and powder forms, as well as in concentrates and ready-to-use formulations.

The swimming pool treatment chemicals market benefits primarily from the rising popularity of swimming among fitness conscious people as a recreational activity.Additionally, the surge in residential construction and the resultant rise in the number of swimming pools is also fueling the demand for these chemicals.

Demand for effective disinfectants such as salts of hypochlorite has escalated significantly since these help remove algae and bacteria from swimming pools. Furthermore, increased consciousness about the quality of pool water, coupled with the strict government regulations and guidelines regarding pool safety, is also fostering the use of swimming pool treatment chemicals.

The COVID-19 outbreak has had a brutal impact on the chemicals industry, with the lockdown leading to temporary shutdown of manufacturing facilities and pause of operations. In view of the devastating effects of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, players are focusing on bolstering their supply chains while accelerating their manufacturing processes to develop a wider range of swimming pool treatment chemicals, in a bid to prevent further revenue losses.

Also, with the construction industry picking up speed following the outbreak, the North America swimming pool treatment chemicals for residential application market is expected to grow in the ensuing period.

Based on product type, the North America swimming pool treatment chemicals for residential application market is segmented into sanitizers, balancers, shocks, algaecides, and others. The sanitizers segment held the largest share of the market in 2019, whereas the balancers segment is estimated to register the highest CAGR in the market during the forecast period.
